Plenary sessions
These are 2-hour sessions held in the main conference room (“Quebec” room of the Nouveau Siècle Complex).
Each session focuses on CDH and its impact on a specific organ. In this provisional program, the main theme of the session is described in a few words.
For each session, keynote speakers will discuss the main advances made in the field, taking into account advances in basic science and the results of clinical research.
A selection of short presentations will deal with complementary aspects of the subject, and
a 20-minute debate will draw conclusions and highlight prospects.
Workshops
Six workshops will address concrete issues encountered at critical moments in the medical and clinical management of CDH patients.
These 2-hour workshops sessions will cover the following topics:
- Counseling parents of babies with severe CDH
- Delivery room management and strategies
- ECMO treatment
- Cardiopulmonary interactions surgical strategies
- Holistic care for CDH patients and their families
- CDH repair: how to prevent long term morbidities
